Glacier FarmMedia (GFM) is Canada’s premier publisher of Ag newspapers, magazines, specialty publications and Ag web sites. In addition, GFM operates farm events including Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show (ON) and Ag in Motion (SK), drawing tens of thousands of farmers to each. GFM also operates companies in the weather and digital IoT spaces (Weather Innovations and METOS Canada).
We are seeking an Ad Services Coordinator to provide basic project management services and exceptional customer service to our internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage advertising orders and advertising materials for publication editions within an assigned portfolio. This includes ensuring advertising orders and advertising materials are submitted in time to meet production deadlines; and, ensuring quality controls standards are met on all advertising materials, resolving any issues promptly.
  • Assist sales reps with order entry of certain transactions (e.g. Coop Programs).
  • Ensure pre-payments or credit applications, if required, are received prior to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to continuously improve workflows.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to new sales reps and ad services coordinators.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting issues related to sales orders.
  • Generate weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports.
  • Support sales representatives and other ad services coordinators during vacation and other absences.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in a business program or project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management (both internal and external).
  • Extremely organized, with a keen attention to detail, and a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • The ability and patience to train new staff on systems and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven towards team success.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Skills in various Office software (Excel, Access, Office 365)
  • Experience in advertising is considered an asset.
