ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ANALYST – CALGARY (CAT)

The Accounts Receivable Analyst works alongside and support the Intermediate and Senior AR Analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Manually enter customer invoices via intermediary services such as OpenInvoice, Cortex, Ariba
  • Set-up and maintain customer invoice files, including filing invoices in alphabetical and date order
  • Enter and post product and service invoices according to established department procedures. This could include both manual typing and electronic invoicing
  • Post payment receipts to the appropriate subledger account
  • Follow up with the appropriate salesperson/department regarding customer issues
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts to secure payment dates and amounts
  • Willingness to assist in additional tasks/projects outside of regular responsibilities

Experience & Skills:

  • Current enrollment in/graduated from a Finance or Accounting diploma or certificate program
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated excellence in keyboarding and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Proven ability to initiate action and problem-solve in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Open Invoice, Cortex, and Ariba is an asset
  • Ability to work well in a team driven environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Intermediate excel skills are considered an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Effective October 15, 2021, all Trican employees are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status or a negative COVID test before the start of their shift for field staff, or once per week for office staff
