Description

Robert Half has a great opportunity available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with an organization that offers an appealing company culture among highly skilled professionals. The candidate’s responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Based out of the Richmond, British Columbia area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening.

Major responsibilities
  • Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
  • Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
  • Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
  • Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned
  • Execute full-cycle A/P
  • Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
  • Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Requirements
  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Invoice Entry
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
