This position is to provide accounting support to a busy Real Estate Development Team. You will be responsible to maintain systematic records of business transactions, verify and record those transactions, prepare and process invoices, accounts payable and receivable and other routine financial records as well as but not limited to, other duties as described herein. Experience is required, and previous Real Estate experience is strongly preferred.
Quest Capital is a top producing Real Estate Development Team with 150 units under management, 300 units under construction and over 1,500 units in developable land. Our team has an ambitious vision to grow our portfolio of apartment buildings to 2,000 units over the next 5 years.
Location:
- New Brunswick - Greater Moncton Area
Job Type: Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (May have to work on weekends for special events)
Wage Range: $16.00 - 24.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable for several Quest related companies
- Calling clients to collect payment
- Maintains historical records by filing documents
- Conducting daily banking activities
- Producing various financial reports
- Managing client database of properties
- Following up and responding to emails
- Pull, research, or enter data into spreadsheets and/or databases as requested
- Create and maintain computer and paper-based filing and organization systems for records, reports, etc.
- Other miscellaneous tasks as required. i.e.: bank deposits, other miscellaneous accounting and administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Prior Real Estate experience is strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of qualified experience
- Must be proficient in English
- Experience with Yardi and Xero a benefit
- Very good organization skills
- Attention to details
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Comfortable learning new computer systems and technologies
- Works very well under pressure
- Works well independently and within a team setting
