Are you a mechanical enthusiast?

Soucy Caoutchouc is looking for a new person in its team. In full growth, we need you to advance the projects of implementation, improvement or modification of equipment. You will have to apply your knowledge of mechanics, ergonomics, OHS, design and project management. This is a great challenge that awaits you. You will be joining a passionate team with a heart for work.

Here’s An Overview Of Your Tasks

• Define project requirements with stakeholders
• Write specifications, budget and present projects for approval
• Plan, coordinate and approve design
• Research and requisition various components
• Manage subcontracting in the project
• Carry out or subcontract part or all of the project
• Supervise the implementation of the project in the plant
• Collaborate with different departments and seek their expertise
• Communicate the progress of the project with the help of guidelines, dashboards, indicators, etc.
• Ensure that the needs of the internal or external clients are met and that they are satisfied with the proposed solution throughout the project
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant field
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar position
• Knowledge of machine safety standards
• Experience in equipment development
• Knowledge of industrial mechanics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation) an asset
• Knowledge of SolidEdge or other CAD software
• Fluency in French and functional English
• Ability to use the Office suite and project planning tools
• Results oriented
• Good planner and communicator
• Rigorous
