Key Accountabilities
- Provides guidance and support to all management and staff on HR related matters; fosters collaboration with and amongst all levels of staff; contributes to overall staff morale
- Assists management with the performance management of any employee concerns including advice on how to lead sensitive employee meetings. Attends employee meetings and prepares documentation in consultation with Human Resources Director. Assists with grievance documentation and record keeping when required.
- Coordinate recruitment and selection activities for all employees.
- Provides administrative support and guidance on labour relations matters including grievances, negotiations, and schedule and participate in Ad Hoc Committee.
- Spearheads the training and development program for the facility and monitoring of funding requirements for ongoing training support.
- Lead for employee onboarding program
- Coordinates organizational change initiatives providing continued support and guidance to those affected.
- Promotes awareness of the facilities Mission & Vision through training, and communication strategy support.
- Supports employee morale improvement tactics, staff recognition programs, and develops content for the department newsletters.
- Participates in departmental and other related committees as required.
Supervisory Job Description
- Provides support and oversees the performance and professional development of scheduling clerks. including conducting annual performance appraisal and performance management as required.
- Monitors and adheres to the applicable portion of the department operating budget.
- Guides management on employee and labour relations matters, liaising with Administrator and HR Director as needed and in compliance with policy, Collective Agreement (CA) and applicable legislation. Including performance management, Collective Agreement interpretation and application, and conflict resolution.
Learning and Development
- Ensures training requirements are fulfilled department wide for compliance with relevant licensing requirements.
- Supports the professional and personal growth of staff, providing adhoc advising and coaching and linking to institution resources.
- Designs and conducts training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance.

Salary: $54,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
