We are actively seeking a Registered Nurse with a background in emergency care to join our dynamic Emergency Department team.

Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be at the forefront of delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and immediate care to patients in critical conditions. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment where your expertise and quick thinking will be crucial in saving lives and stabilizing patients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, prioritize, and manage the care of patients presenting with a full range of conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, strokes, and other emergencies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and document all provided care accurately and comprehensively.
  • Advocate for patients, ensuring their preferences and needs are considered and respected in the delivery of care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during their time in the emergency department.
  • Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay abreast of the latest developments in emergency nursing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution.
  • NCLEX-RN
  • Minimum of 1 year of licensed RN experience in the Emergency Department.
  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Eligible for a California RN License upon hire.
  • Must possess a current Canadian or USA passport or Green Card
  • VisaScreen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and make decisions quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • EDAP or ENPC required within first year of employment
  • TNCC or ATCN required within first year of employment
