Beyond 20/20 Optometry is looking to hire and train someone with an education background to become our newest Vision Therapist! We are looking for a self motivated individual with an early childhood, education or science background to join our team. We will provide complete on the job training. This is a position with continuous growth and learning.

What is a Vision Therapist? A Vision Therapist is someone that works with patients (1-on-1) of all ages to help train the brain through visual exercises. We help patients achieve their full potential through individualized vision training.

You would learn to help patients who suffer from the following symptoms:

• Eye strain and eye fatigue
• Post Concussion Vision syndrome/issues
• Loss of place when reading
• Slow reading and reading below grade level
• Difficulty copying from the board
• Difficulty paying attention in class
• Difficulty identifying letters or shapes
• Letter reversals
• Blurry vision
• Eye turns
• Visual processing disorders
• Eye tracking and eye teaming
• Visual symptoms following concussion (post-concussion syndrome)

The duties of the vision therapist (after training) will be to:

• Prepare individualized activities for each patient
• Monitor home training
• Lead daily activates and exercises
• Perform visual perceptual evaluation
• Provide a safe and caring environment for learning
• Encourage and engage patients during the training sessions

We offer a full time schedule with competitive wages and benefits. We offer in-office vision therapy (VT) training and paid continuing education in VT. This is a position where you will continuously learn and grow. Initial salary is based on paid training for the position and pay increases begin as the therapist starts seeing patients.

This position begins immediately and is full time Monday to Friday.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $38,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
