ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Recruiter will support all recruitment efforts with respect to hiring new Owner Operator Drivers to join CPX. The Recruiter will employ an out-of-the-box approach to recruitment and will be responsible for attracting qualified new Owner Operator Drivers to join our busy and growing team. The Recruiter will conduct all aspects of full-cycle recruitment and various related recruitment activities in order to achieve our recruitment goals.

Reporting into the Senior Driver Manager, your responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

  • Identifies, sources, and recruits qualified Class A Drivers for various driving positions including Company Drivers, Owner Operators, and Co Drivers
  • Creates and places job ads, conducts pre-screens, and interviews candidates over the phone and in person; conducts full-cycle recruitment activities
  • Cold calls potential Drivers, and engages with new Drivers in a positive manner in order to successfully build new connections and business relationships
  • Posts job advertisements across many different job boards/platforms for marketing purposes
  • Employs and out-of-the-box approach to engage new Drivers and attract qualified Drivers to join the team
  • Creates a positive and simplified onboarding experience for all new drivers
  • Facilitates onboarding for new Drivers upon hire, including completing new driver applications and all required onboarding documentation
  • Assists with Safety and Compliance Requirements with respect to Driver onboarding such as completing Driver Applications, scheduling Drug Tests, Road Tests, Carriers Edge Training and other required training
  • Strategizes and collaborates with other departments to improve the recruitment process and new hire driver experience
  • Uses a variety of recruitment tools and marketing strategies to source and attract qualified drivers
  • Establishes positive relationships with existing drivers to create high engagement and increase driver retention
  • Attends job fairs and recruitment events to increase brand awareness as required
  • Researches and collaborates with third parties party organizations to source potential new drivers
  • Assists with ad hoc projects as required

ABOUT YOU:

  • 2+ Years of full-cycle Recruitment Experience is a must
  • Sales experience is considered an asset
  • Experience in the Trucking/Logistics Industry is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to speak Hindi and Punjabi is considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication both written and verbal
  • Sales-minded approach to recruitment, high level of resilience, ability to engage and recruit new candidates
  • Strong ability to think-out-of-the-box and offer new solutions
  • Highly adaptable and ability to understand changing recruitment needs
  • Strong-willed, excellent communicator, resourceful, ability to work with various personalities
  • Relevant post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Adaptable, positive team player, with a can-do attitude
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Ability to work independently, and collaborate effectively with teams
