We are hiring for a company in the transportation industry with an immediate opening for an LTL and Line Haul Dispatcher in Mississauga, ON

Start Date: Immediately

Shift: Afternoons

Location:Bramalea Rd & Derry Rd

Rate: $55,000 annually based on experience

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day communications via phone and/or handheld device, with fleet of drivers
• Managing roughly 40 - 50 line Haul drivers daily
• Effectively communicate load instructions and ensure they are carried out
• Efficiently delegate loads to maximize time and load factor
• Manage service concerns as required
• Coordinate maintenance of fleet vehicles
• Assist with generating reports and other administrative tasks
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation and dispatch
• Previous experience with Unionized company drivers is an asset
• Ability to train and develop team members and hold accountable when necessary
• Good computer skills with accuracy in data entry and attention to detail
• Excellent time management with high ability to multitask
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Dependable to work independently with no supervision
• Ability to identify root cause, write corrective actions, and implement
• Ability to multitask and effectively prioritized in a fast paced environment
• ’Can-Do’ attitude with a passion to drive results
• Clean criminal background required
