Truck It Personnel Services Inc.,is working with one of the largest transportation companies in the GTA.

Brampton client is looking for dedicated Operations Dispatchers to join the team. This position is focused on managing the transportation plan for shipments to and from customers nationwide, including stores, vendors, distribution centres, third party hubs, and rail terminals. Working within a very fast paced and dynamic environment, the Operations Dispatcher will tender and supervise loads being executed by third party carriers, as well as their own fleet in accordance with legal compliance for Fleet operations. The Operations Dispatcher will modify freight movements to ensure flawless execution at the lowest possible cost. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Operations Dispatcher will manage key performance indicators within the context of supporting the achievement of Transportation goals. The Operations Dispatcher is required to work various shifts based on business requirements. What You’ll Do Dispatch pickup and delivery work assignments to Fleet Drivers and 3 rd Party CarriersMonitor Driver productivity and ensure compliance with the Transportation legislation Ensure efficient use of the Tractor Fleet and assign Tractors to DriversWork with various software applications to manage Transportation work assignments Monitor outbound deliveries to stores to ensure we achieve target metricsMonitor vendor pickups to ensure we achieve target metrics Monitor drayage moves to / from rail terminalsDispatch equipment re-positioning (chassis, trailers, containers) to support DC Operations Provide regular status updates and insights on operational challenges and opportunitiesSupport 24 hours X 7 days per week Dispatch Operations Who you are We Are Looking For High Performing Individuals Who Are

What you bring Well-developed working knowledge of transportation regulations and geographyDemonstrated knowledge of Hours of Work Legislation, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and the Highway Traffic Act is an asset Knowledge of transportation system

• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills, with the ability to balance cost and service Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, in a fast paced, dynamic environmentExcellent verbal communication skills Dispatch experience

Shifts;

Monday -Friday 6am-2pm Or 2pm-10pm OR 10pm-6am

Weekend AM shift: Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pm & Monday & Tuesday 6am-6pm
