Title: Director of Operations

Status: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Lethbridge, Alberta

Salary: Competitive

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Director is responsible for managing all site operations of EMB in Lethbridge,

Alberta, including safety, quality control, production, maintenance (equipment, building and

site), inventory, shipping and logistics. Leading by example, the Director supports

a team of managers, designers and supervisors to achieve organizational strategic objectives,

and to ensure all aspects of the Design, Planning, Production, Delivery, and Installation of EMB

products are completed on time and on budget.

Specific duties:

Supervise the design team, setting direction, priorities, and schedules

Supervise the Project Manager(s), supporting their work to manage all aspects of each

sale

Supervise the Production Manager, supporting their work to keep production on track

Manage the building and equipment, ensuring that it is maintained, and new equipment

is purchased as required

Manage the master production schedule (High Level)

Manage the production costs

Ensure an effective safety program is operative

Ensure that all products meet EMB quality standards

Encourage and support continuous improvement of the design and production process

Document activities and results with variance reporting

Requirements:

Must have a P.Eng. designation that is recognized in Alberta

Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment

Effective oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Experience in project or business management (5 years minimum)

Business acumen

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

Computer skills, including:

o Microsoft Office suite, including Teams

o ERP Software (Enterprise Resource Planning Software)

Valid driver’s license and passport.
