A Real Estate Development company in Markham is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Development Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following job duties:
- Obtaining and processing all required land development approvals which includes OPA’s, rezoning, site plan approval, draft plan of subdivision approval, draft plan of condominium, and minor variance applications
- Review of all reports and supporting documentation from the consultants in support of land development applications for approval. Provide written comments on and finalize reports, drawings, and other relevant documents
- Liason with the project team, municipal officials, and consultants, and receive weekly status updates to the project lead
- Participate in the design of buildings for each phase
- Arrange for the completion of and review accurate working drawings and construction documents for building permit by consultants and construction managers, in order to avoid delaying the approval process
- Cooperate with the construction of buildings in accordance with the intended design
- Attend to quality control, pre-delivery inspection, and post completion matters and deficiencies. This includes facilitating and obtaining all turnover documents required by the project lead and owner
- Provide all deliverables on time for the sales / marketing of units (6-9 months before launch)
- Responsible in consultation with the project team, for the preparation of well defined, accurate scopes of work to enable consultants to submit their fee proposals; review and negotiate all consultant agreements
- Oversee and interact with Liberty and DMF staff, both at head office and one site to ensure that each department (ie. planning, architects, sales & marketing, etc.) is running smoothly and reports to the project lead after consulting with the directors
- Familiarity with all meetings and direct which project team members should attend project meetings, and ensure proper minutes are taken and circulated
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- A university or college degree in a related field: civil or mechanical, planning or architecture
- 5-7 years of experience in high-rise residential development; ideally you have completed at least two high-rise residential projects
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project and Excel, with a strong understanding of Autocad and Revit
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
