September 20 to December 10 (12Weeks), Temporary, Full Time(Canada Summer Jobs)Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Development Assistant will be a member of the development team and will assist in data processing and event coordination.The Assistant will use Tessitura (a major and internationally used CRM) for processing tax receipts and event and donor data management. They will also assist with donor stewardship events and in fundraising activities.
Duties
The Development Assistant will:
- Assist in providing administrative support with day to day Development operations and projects
- Assist in maintaining donor database records and electronic and paper files, and gift processing records; including data entry, producing tax receipts and thank you letters
- Coordinate and assist with thank you and renewal calls to donors
- Draft donor correspondence including thank you letters
- Assist with coordinating donor and sponsorship recognition activities, including tracking invoices and budgets
- Assist with donor recognition events including coordinating in advance and onsite with venues, vendors, and volunteers, and provide onsite support for all fundraising and stewardship events
- Provide administrative support for Development team and fundraising volunteers
- Participate with collaborative support with the endeavors of the administrative team asrequired.
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Maintain positive communications with staff, patrons and external partnersQUALIFICATIONS:Experience in customer servicePositive attitude and self-motivated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills, and courteous with staff, vendors, and partnersKeen curiosity and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Aptitude for learning new technology and proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel,Outlook, familiarity with Tessitura or CRM systems an asset)
- Ideal candidate will be familiar with the arts and have an interest in music
$20 per hour, 37.5hours per week for 12 weeks. The position may require some evening and weekend work and hours will vary depending on production schedule.
