We achieve growth through the development of innovative new products and services, including lighting, lighting controls, building management systems, and location-aware applications..Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Reporting to the Director of Design and Development, the Technical Support designer will be responsible for assisting the sales department and proposing solutions that will meet customer requirements. Its main functions will be:

• Provide technical support service to the sales department;
• Propose products according to customer requirements;
• Generate documentation and specification drawings for specific projects;
• Complete cost analysis documentation;
• Generate 2D approval and presentation drawings as well as renderings; 3D modeling
• Make the preliminary design of products which will then be used by the industrialization team;
• Assist or create prototypes;
• Do technical research and communicate with suppliers;

Experience (minimum Experience Required)

• College diploma DEC or BAC in industrial design, technical mechanical engineering or other related field;
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field of design;
• Good knowledge of conventional drawing software: AutoCad and Solidworks, ability to visualize and model in 3D and Knowledge of Keyshot software would be an asset;
• French and English spoken and written;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, demonstrate skills for teamwork, autonomy and proactivity in the accomplishment of daily tasks;
• Manual capability for manufacturing prototyping
• The requirement of another language is required for this position in order to be able to communicate with customers and colleagues who are all located outside Quebec.
