Reporting to the Design Manager, this role will prepare truss layouts and designs for various projects and assist in the review of design work and feasibility analysis of construction plans relative to truss related matters.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

• Designing roof and floor engineered systems based on the customer’s requirements and plans.
• Implementing design changes and communicating within the department to ensure designs are accurate.
• Providing the pre and post technical support to customers
• Providing support to other projects or duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or technical training courses in Architecture, Engineering or Drafting.
• Ability to work on complex structures, both in the residential and commercial industry

• Minimum 3-5 years of drafting and design experience within the construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), drafting and design software (Mitek).
• Command of Local and National Building Codes, Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering
• Expert Blueprint (Architecture, Structural and Mechanical) Reading Skills
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Rough Framing and the Construction Process
• Expertise in the Application and design of Building Components and Connections of Floor and Roof Systems
• Provide Technical Direction for the Development of Placement Plans and Quality Control Procedures
• Understanding of Manufacturing and Logistics Operations
