Direct Reports: Not applicable

Position Overview:
  • Create drawings, documentation, and engineering calculations required for the Product Development Process.
  • Manage product development tasks as requested.
  • Document all results.

Primary Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Engineering:
  • Demonstrate consistent and proficient application of mechanical engineering principles in the design of parts and projects for Dynamix equipment.
  • Create 3D models and prepare manufacturing drawings using design software. Ensure due consideration to mechanics of materials and compliance with accepted practices of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Provide technical input in the evaluation of mechanical equipment. Prepare and execute test plans as required. Report results.
  • Work with team to complete engineering Projects and address cost, quality, and timing issues
General:
  • Work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Clearly report the status of assigned projects.
  • Is comfortable meeting tight deadlines within a high-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years experience in a similar role.
  • CAD capabilities – proficiency in Inventor is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of Manufacturing processes, with special attention to materials, machining.
  • Experience in Engineering documentation and reporting.
Preferred:
  • Licenced Mechanical or Chemical Engineer. (PEng)
