Position Description: Key member of the Architecture Team responsible for maintaining take-off database as well as construction detailing and coordinating communication of all changes to drawings and take-offs.

Key Expectations:
  • New Design Management:
    • Maintain AutoCAD décor, brochure and APS plans for the entire model line-up.
    • Produce new drawings as new product is designed.
    • Track changes and update drawings as new designs are produced, vetted and built for the first time.
    • Track changes requested by ABIC team, Construction and Design and update drawings accordingly.
    • Track changes resulting from Proto-walks on new product (update drawings and issue Proto-walk form for signature).
  • Site Issue Management:
    • Respond to requests by builders and project managers on various sites.
    • Review issues by analyzing the construction and drawing accuracy.
    • Maintain ticketing system to ensure all issues related to drawing inaccuracy are tracked.
    • Track down appropriate parties involved in each issue and follow through to ensure drawings are updated, contracts revised and appropriate parties are notified.
  • Resolution Management:
    • Talk to appropriate parties and propose solution to issues as they arise.
    • Involve Design, Sales, Purchasing and Architecture departments as required to resolve issues and get required approvals. (Red-line Requests)
    • Escalate issues to management of appropriate departments as soon as possible to ensure quick resolution of issues. (All-Stop Moments)
    • Produce details (or collaborate with Architecture Intern) with AutoCAD and file in SharePoint and Web Portal as required.
  • Drawing Management:
    • Ensure working drawings/details are redlined, updated and uploaded to Public Dropbox as issues are resolved.
    • Ensure décor drawings are updated and Design staff are notified of any changes as issues are resolved.
    • Ensure brochure and APS drawings are updated and Sales staff are notified of any changes as issues are resolved.
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by manager and team.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of construction;
  • AutoCAD;
  • Revit & cadWork (for investigations/problem solving);
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive);
  • Knowledge of proper windows folder structures;
  • Follow department file naming protocols;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills;
  • Strong computer skills.
