Responsibilities:
The Web Developer is responsible for developing quality web applications, business process and application integrations, and may include the building of business intelligence charts and dashboards. It is essential for this role to understand Arrow’s business functional areas and user needs. The role includes developing with quality, reusable code that is well designed, testable and maintainable. This role can also include user support of the applications built and maintained.

When web applications have a data aspect, this role will include understanding the mechanics of SQL databases used in these business applications.

Major responsibilities include:
  • Understand business requirements and design accordingly
  • Develop web-type applications for business users
  • Develop API objects to provide access to data
  • Develop business process and application integration work flows
  • Provide user support to applications
  • Demonstrate and/or train users, as required
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
You Possess:
  • Degree in Computing Sciences, certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Development work experience with C# ASP.NET/MVC environment and JQuery required
  • Experience with Java Script, Entity Framework/Linq, Bootstrap, and Telerik Controls is beneficial
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Functions and Logic Apps preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL or Azure SQL preferred
  • Experience in the various aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), usability focused design, strong documentation skills, and attention to detail, accuracy and functionality
  • Accounting or financial management experience is an asset
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, organizational and communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills within a diverse team environment, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
  • Strong work ethic, time management, and job prioritization skills are essential
  • Strong safety mindset, especially when visiting branch office locations
