Job Description:

Sun Life will be seeking a UX Writer to join our Digital User Experience team.

What will you do?

• Advocate for and articulate the power of user-centered writing and design to the customer experience
• Develop clear, concise, accurate copy that aligns with Sun Life UX writing principles and brand voice, for our digital products and properties including mobile
• Participate in discussions and whiteboarding sessions to understand the product ask, user stories and value to the user
• Manage stakeholder consultations, present your work to various audiences, incorporate feedback, and ensure the steps are followed to obtain sign off from stakeholders and partners
• Work with UX Designers to ensure that the UI meets the needs of our users
• Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Product teams to ensure compliance with editorial standards and best practices for all content
• Participate in user testing and analysis
• Share your knowledge and expertise to help build the content practice
  
  

What do you need to succeed?

• 2+ years of professional writing experience including web copy with a UX focus
• Excellent writing and editing skills along with strong attention to detail
• Passionate advocate for user-centered writing, design and the UX process
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Committed to a hands-on, proactive approach to learning about the product and its audience
• Experience working closely with multiple business partners and across teams
• An understanding of user-centered design or cognitive psychology

When a new position becomes available which matches your background and experience, the base pay range will be disclosed and correspond to the opportunity Sun Life will consider you for.

In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
