Purpose Of The Job

Job Description:

The User Interface (UI)/User eXperience (UX) Designer works on wireframes and prototypes and translates the models and concepts into flows, screens and mockups. He/she works with the external stakeholders as well as the Development team to understands the requirements, design and implement the products that deliver the value to the clients.

Please Note: This is a casual position and will be on an as-needed basis.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Work closely with product owners, business partners and developers to understand business and functional requirements as well as technical considerations.
• Lead the experience design of complex applications for web and mobile.
• Own the creation of consistent experiences across products and platforms through user-centered design processes, including competitor analysis, heuristic evaluations, personas, sitemaps, process flows, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, icons, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate with Development and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure the design quality is maintained down the stream.
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
• Advocate for good user experience and design practices within the organization.
• Ensure consistency across digital experiences and contribute in growing our library of components, interaction models and style guide.
  

Required Skills

• Experience in efficiently and intelligently iterating designs and solutions.
• Expertise in technical writing/editing.
• Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure RP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Ability to plot and map a user journey from product discovery through enrollment, down multiple engagement routes and through to journey completion.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions with technical team members, managers and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team in an agile environment.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Ability to translate a mockup from Axure or Adobe XD to HTML/CSS accurately (attention to detail).
• Understanding of Design Sprints
• HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, User Experience, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields is required.
• 5+ years of User Experience design experience is required.
• Graphical/User Experience Development Portfolio.
• Experience in Angular or React
• 3+ years of front-end development experience
