The role
As a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Product Requirements Specialist you will work with UAT & Quality Assurance (QA) teams, project managers, third-party vendors along with other cross-functional teams on UAT for products before they are delivered to our customers. Reporting to the Team Lead, Business Analyst, you will be accountable for providing concise and accurate documentation of software defects and issues to corresponding IT Teams for defect fixes. You will also strive to maintain easily accessible and understandable test results and provide sign-off for the product once UAT testing criteria is satisfied.

You will work alongside key business stakeholders within Freedom’s commercial and IT teams. The most exciting part of this role is the ability to take ownership of and accountability for the projects you are working on, and responsibility for the successful delivery of defect-free products. A typical day
  • Most of the time, you will work in conjunction with multiple business units and functional departments to develop and deploy technology solutions to address key business objectives.
  • You will analyze business requirement documents to design, develop, and maintain test plans and test cases for assigned change request(s), projects/product and pricing, ensuring comprehensive planning and design that map to all Product/Business requirements as well as the Software Requirement Specification.
  • You will perform test case execution, which covers end-to-end UAT on external applications and other internal systems along with the Network Quality team to achieve Rating Accuracy and Fair Usage policies on any roaming usages.
  • You will define QA exit criteria and UAT Entry/exit criteria and QA/UAT test scope definition.
  • You will perform defect creation and tracking, reporting, resolution discussions, and risk analysis during the release or implementation cycle.
  • You will conduct “smoke testing” on the day of the launch during non-business hours (early morning) to ensure the product is rolled out smoothly into the market.
  • You will meet with a variety of key business stakeholders and cross-functional teams during all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle, providing constant status updates on the testing progress to the Project Prime and the Manager.
  • Success will be measured on taking ownership, accountability, on-time completion of assigned tasks and the ability to take initiative.
Your skills/experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent (Preferred)
  • 3-8 years of Business/User Acceptance Testing experience interpreting business needs and converting them into E2E Test Scenarios
  • Proven Experience in utilizing software quality assurance principles and practices including test planning, test strategy, test matrix design.
  • Hands-on experience with product and test management tools like Jira, Confluence and Zephyr are requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products is a requirement.
  • ISTQB certification preferred.
  • Experience in Telecom, Digital Applications is an Asset
  • Ability to learn and understand users’ perspectives and develop products based on this understanding is highly valued.
  • Experience working in an agile-scrum team understanding agile mindset is preferred.
  • Experience writing SQL queries is an asset.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Good time-management skills
  • Goal oriented self-starter with an appetite for continuous learning
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with rapidly changing priorities and aggressive timelines
  • Great verbal and written communication skills; be able to interact with business representatives, developers, UAT team members to clarify specifications, identify and resolve various issues.
