Description

Under the supervision of the Environment Director, your main mandate will be to support the development of the Acoustics and Vibrations discipline in all the firm’s major design projects and environmental impact assessments. Moreover, you will lead a group of engineers and interact with the Engineering or Environment teams to provide advice and studies, ensuring environmental compliance and acceptable operating conditions of infrastructure or mechanical equipment. As such, you will be required to:

Participate in the department’s business development.
Lead the Acoustics and Vibrations team in carrying out various projects and ensure control of the practice and the quality of deliverables.
Ensure proper operation and compliance of an inventory of metering equipment (sound level meters, accelerometers, data acquisition systems, etc.).
Travel to project sites and perform vibration (structural or mechanical) or noise (heath or environment) assessments.Carry out impact, compliance and noise reduction assessments for industrial projects.Prepare proposals
Manage project.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and master’s degree in Acoustics
At least 10 years of relevant experience
Excellent spoken and written communication (English and French) and ability to establish relationships with all functions and levels of the organization
Experience in business development and staff management
Ability to multi-task effectively on a variety of constantly changing projects.Ability to use acoustic-specific software (SoundPLAN/CadnaA, INSUL, Ease/Odeon, MATLAB, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Excel, Word, etc.)
