A 67-year-old Manufacturing Company specializing in Fluid Delivery Assemblies and Components for the Aerospace, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Speciality Vehicles Industries is seeking an experienced Supply Chain, Materials Resource Director.

This position reporting directly to the President of the Company, will be headquartered in Mississauga and will require travel when and where necessary.

An Ideal candidate must be organised, have the innate ability to work with suppliers across multiple industries, be results driven and motivated to not only meet, but exceed departmental and organizational goals and objectives. The successful applicant will have the ability to immerse themselves in and be a strategic part of a mature team, must be an effective systems administrator and be able to manage the company’s growing, complex supply chain.

This Position requires someone who loves and is excited for the opportunity to build (company Supplier networks, departmental processes, Long-term relationships, etc.). Excited to harness the skills that have been acquired throughout one’s career and put their mark on a quickly accelerating company.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for:

a. To Ensure the reliable and consistent supply of critical elements required to support the production and delivery of products to our clients – Aerospace and Non-Aerospace: this includes but not limited to:

i. Raw Materials

ii. Hardware (purchased items)

iii. Supplies

iv. Services from regulated and nonregulated vendors

b. Managing all steps involved in the Sourcing, Procurement and Delivery of raw materials, hardware, supplies, and outsourced services required by the Company; including all departmental procurements necessary to meet production, quality and client services objectives.

c. Managing the Company’s “Material & Procurement Data Systems” in order to produce and share effective information related to all purchased inputs and services; to oversee the data material and vendor data libraries in the company’s MRP System (Job Boss)

d. The Accurate and Competitive material and services cost analysis and operations data to all the departments of the company.

e. The determination of the type and flow of information from the company’s supply chain and vendor networks to all the departments.

f. To research, identify and analyze, alternative materials, processes and technologies available to the company

g. To establish & maintain the critical KPI’s and measures related to these responsibilities and report them to the directors and managers.

h. The negotiation and creation of Long-Term contracts with all supply chain vendors/parties

i. To build strong and reciprocal relationships with our vendors to ensure constant exchange of information that will lead to a better understanding and use of our vendors products, and services.

j. Produce monthly and quarterly operational & performance reports to the President & COO

· Skills, Aptitudes, Characteristics and Experience:

o Experienced in managing, negotiating, influencing the supply chain / vendors in the Aerospace and Non-Aerospace industries.

o Experienced in negotiating contracts with vendors

o Experienced in a manufacturing environment with similar products and/or clients

o Experienced in working in an AS9100 and ISO regulated industry.

o Experienced in working in a smaller company and understands how to get the most out of limited resources.

o Experienced in developing material costs forecasts or standard cost lists

o Is organized and disciplined in following up with the RFQ’s or PO’s sent to the supply chain

o Is aggressive in sourcing new suppliers and technologies

o Is a strong communicator with the vendors and the other departments of the company

o Is motivated to discover multiple options to resolve a supply chain issue.

o Naturally works cooperatively with all the other departments

o Has strong software and computer skills

o Has strong math, analytical and statistical skills

o Has strong planning and organizational skills

o Has strong presentation and communication skills

o Effective ‘hands on’ participation in floor operations including stores and finished goods inventories.

o Establishes effective relationships with suppliers to achieve performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, to establish procurement forecasts and to facilitate and improvements.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

· A minimum of 10 years experience in managing a procurement/ purchasing department.

· Familiarity with Aerospace/Power Generation/ Nuclear/ components, materials, specifications & programs would be beneficial.

· Experience in Vendor and Supply Chain Program Management

· Knowledge of Job Boss Software would be beneficial

· Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) is Essential.

· Education Required – University or Technical College Degree / Certification / Accreditation.

· References are Mandatory.
