Job Summary

Working directly with the Regional Operations team, this position coordinates and delivers annual regional programs, provides technical project management coordination functions, and assists and support day to day functions of project delivery to ensure completion of assigned Rehabilitation projects on schedule and within budget. Participates with project teams in organizing projects throughout the project management life-cycle (i.e. initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out). Manages contracts, quality control, and quality assurance for long term operational contracts including highway line painting and electrical services. May undertake the project manager role for assigned projects.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related and a minimum of 1 (one) year related experience*; OR
  • Technical diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related and a minimum of 2 (two) years related experience*; OR
  • Secondary school graduation (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 (three) years related experience*.
  • Related experience is defined as experience in one or more of the following: project administration or project management, and/or civil design or construction, and/or contract management.
  • Experience working in project management
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Experience working on project teams
  • Experience managing contracts

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Experience applying Project Management Methodology as practiced by the Project Management Institute
  • Experience using project planning software
  • 1 year ormore of experience in managing contracts
  • Experience working in the transportation field

About This Position

There is one (1) permanent position based out of Prince George.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.

An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies.
