Static Security Agent

• Possess a valid Alberta Security Guard License issued by the Alberta Solicitor General.
• Be available Saturday and Sunday for early mornings and late evenings.
• Have their own vehicle to get to sites.
• Be available to start immediately or soon.
• Fluency or proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Have previous Security experience (an asset).
• Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Have honesty and Integrity in completing tasks and duties and making decisions.
• Meet the physical demands of the job (extensive periods of walking, standing, and stairs).

• Working in all types of weather (sun, rain, snow, etc.) both indoors or outdoors.
• Conducting patrols, access control (checking ID, removing trespassers, etc.), traffic control, and CCTV monitoring.
• Responding to emergencies and contacting emergency services as necessary.
• Completing detailed and accurate shift reports and incident reports.
• Following company health and safety protocols.
• Reacting appropriately in stressful situations by remaining calm, professional, and non-violent.
• Learning and following all BPS K9 policies and procedures.
• Being professional while representing the company and our clients at all times.

• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic MS Office Skills.
• Able to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada.
