Position SummaryMagellan Aerospace is looking for a high performing Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position at our manufacturing hub in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the successful candidate must be detail-oriented with good written and verbal skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure. This position will be responsible for administrating and coordinating all business aspects related to the sale and delivery of company products. In addition, may be responsible for the supervision of more junior Contracts Administrators on major programs. Will provide direction and guidance as required and help in preparation of various reports required from the Contracts department by upper management.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Conduct all activities of the contract life cycle, including initial receipt of customer RFPs, preparation of cost estimates and proposals, negotiations and acceptance of contracts, implementation of work and monitoring of contract performance, and contract close out, all at an expert level.
Monitor gross margins achieved on contracts and assist in contract reviews to improve company performance.
Update Order Management System (OMS) to ensure that it accurately reflects the status of firm orders.
Communications with internal and external customers to ensure proper contract performance, with investigations into any problems in order to identify corrective actions for management’s consideration. Invoicing and assisting with payment collections.
Prepare inputs into budget preparation, latest estimate revisions, weekly sales reports, and other miscellaneous reports as required.
Act as primary point of contact for all company customers and maintain constant communication with every other department in the company.
Assist and provide advice to Contracts Administrators on various functions to ensure consistency and proper practice.
Assist Management in preparation of reports and act on their behalf when required. Maintain working knowledge of Contracts department issues.
Position Requirements / Qualifications
Commerce degree or Business Administration diploma required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry or a related discipline.
Knowledge of Canadian government and standard industry terms and conditions.
Experience with standard office equipment and software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint )
Customer service minded with excellent time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
