About This Team

Our Mobile Development team is looking for a Solution Architect to join our team in the Seattle or Vancouver, BC Market. You will be working on the roadmap and architecture for new native mobile focused experiences in our developing vision to make the guest experience more exciting and engaging. We are working on some of the latest iOS features to keep our App up to date with the latest technologies. We will make our instore experiences delightful. Gain or continue your working knowledge of Authentication, CMS, SQlite, and even AR plus some of other cool things that Apple will be releasing for iOS! We are a group of agile focused teams building a top-notch premium App experience for our most engaged Guests.

A Day In The Life
  • The Solution Architect partners with delivery teams to architect, design, and build flexible, scalable, and resilient applications and services that can more easily adapt to future business needs.
  • Leads the business/functional architecture and strategy for solutions in a manner consistent with lululemon Technology’s enterprise architecture, applying common frameworks and re-usable components
  • A typical day starts with daily stand ups, meet with web and mobile developers for guidance and follow up, adjust and add details to Jira and confluence (with/without BA assistance), conduct code reviews alongside QA and developers to ensure adherence to specs, design solutions with other architects for system integrations, collaborate with DevOps and infra teams for backend setup, participate in technology review and conduct as-built audit + documentation, and work with ops readiness teams to design system continuity and support.
  • Helps ensure the operational platforms and associated interfacing data and systems have been properly architected from and end-to-end perspective to meet the functional and non-functional needs of the business
  • Assist the estimation of dev and QA efforts ensuring proper understanding of implementation scope, as well as adherence to best practices and methodical delivery
  • Takes ownership of bringing conceptual design down to a level of detail that can be physically implemented. Ensuring all required details and documentation are in the right place.
  • Works closely with other solution, domain, and enterprise architects (DevOps, CI/CD, Mobile, Database, and other integrated systems) and development teams to support and guide solution implementations and acts as an advisor for technical resources on projects
  • Develops and maintain current and future-state architecture models
  • Stays abreast of industry best practices, technologies, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working with native mobile applications
  • iOS Development experience: Android is a nice to have
  • Hands on recent working experience with AWS, Micoservices, CI/CD, Python, Bash, and SQLite
  • Experience working and delivering in an ecommerce environment. Retail/OMNI experience a plus.
  • Experience leading end-to-end architecture building in-house apps with multiple integrated systems to deliver secured, high performance, scalable, and easy to maintain solutions.
