We are seeking energetic and fast-learning candidates for a Solar Engineer Assistant position based out of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Solar Engineer Assistant provides support and documentation for all new commercial and residential project installations. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to continue developing their solar knowledge, or to begin a career in solar engineering. Gain experience with technologies such as Sunlight Backup, BIPV and AI-Powered Energy Storage Solutions.

Solar Engineer Assistant will be responsible for

• Sales support including energy consumption analysis, preliminary designs, pricing estimations and proposals.
• Design support for project installation layouts including: solar panels, water heaters, energy storage systems, and electric vehicle chargers.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of web-based system monitoring.
• Utility Net-Metering applications.
• Building permit applications.
• Providing new installation training and technical support for clients.
• Assisting engineering team with other responsibilities such as design review, client troubleshooting etc.

The candidate should:

• Be familiar with and show interest in spreadsheets and other data management software.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 2 years of experience working with solar projects or in related field

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
