Software Analyst

Requirement:

• Understands and follows the company’s processes and procedures for developing vital software Implements real time systems mainly in ‘C’ and ’C++’ (required)
• Designs, codes, debugs, writes test procedures and tests software code Reviews software requirements analysis, designs, code, test procedures and test results Analyses and implements correction for defect reports
• Develops software to simulate vehicular and signaling behaviors and interfaces and to provide support for train control systems
• Performs engineering testing in the field and investigates problems in the field Interprets requirements and existing designs to implement simulations
• Provides some input for cost estimates Assists in on the job training of staf

Qualification :

• B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge of railway signaling techniques (with exception of new hire – to be trained)
• Knowledge of company product (SELTRAC)
• Knowledge of software development environment (desktop simulator, target simulator, etc.)
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and C++ Knowledge of multithreaded and communications programming Knowledge of software architecture
• Knowledge of standards and processes as described in the departmental software Developer’s Guide and applicable to the development of safety critical software
