About the Position

The Shop Helper will help with shipping and receiving and the production of fire dampeners and other metal products.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutters and rivet machines
• Keep inventory of production materials
• Conduct maintenance and upkeep of machinery
• Assist the team in cycle counts and inventory audits
• Tack weld with MiG welder (will be trained up on this)
• Assist the front-end office with miscellaneous issues
• Keep the shop and warehouse tidy

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift
• Required to wear all safety PPE and steel toed boots in the warehouse
• Mechanically inclined
• Must be comfortable reading a tape measurer and using hand and power tools
• Attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Computer savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office
• Previous metal shop experience is an asset
• Shipping/receiving experience is an asset

Salary: $18.00 per hour
