Job Summary:
Profire Energy, a leading provider of Burner Management Systems and associated equipment in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking a results-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our Shipping team. As a Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately handling shipping operations to ensure timely delivery of orders and customer satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand pick lists to determine order requirements.
  • Accurately pull and pack orders according to pick lists, ensuring the correct items are included.
  • Take pictures of each order for verification and documentation purposes.
  • Sign pick lists to confirm that items have been pulled correctly.
  • Package shipments appropriately to meet freight company specifications, ensuring the safety and integrity of the products.
  • Palletize and secure shipments if necessary, using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Obtain box sizes and dimensions for freight companies to determine shipping costs and requirements.
  • Ensuring packing slips are included on each outgoing shipment, including accurate items and quantities.
  • Stock shipping supplies to ensure an adequate inventory is maintained.
  • Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Loading truck with outgoing freight using the forklift, following proper loading procedures to prevent damage
  • Assist in keeping roller shelving stocked with products for efficient order fulfillment.
  • Receiving product into our inventory system
  • uploading of bill of ladings/incoming packing slips into inventory system for billing purposes
  • Receiving returned product appropriately and placed/labeled in the correct spot
  • Assisting with pre-counts and full inventory counts at the end of each quarter (or as needed)
  • Assisting with building maintenance i.e. garbage’s, bathroom stock and other items as needed
Key Duties:
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all shipping duties and positions.
  • Fill in for various shipping duties and positions as needed, ensuring continuity and smooth operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pick lists, packing procedures, and shipping documentation is desirable.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using shipping software or systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and operate equipment such as pallet jacks.
  • Experience working with or around forklifts desirable
