We are looking for a full-cycle Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with IT recruitment expertise who will partner directly with managers supporting the hiring needs within Ontario Health.

Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, this individual will determine the right selection criteria and process for our high-volume hiring needs in various portfolios. Using a consultative approach, you will work with our leaders to understand their business and hiring needs, while guiding them through the end-to-end recruitment process. Here is what you will be doing:
  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment life cycle from drafting job postings, candidate search, screening, selection, offer through to closing and placement
  • Utilize your strong network within the technology space for a variety of roles within our Digital portfolio.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business leaders to determine the appropriate knowledge, skills and capabilities requirements prior to post
  • Assess candidate skills and experience using our Applicant Tracking System (Workday)
  • Develop targeted interview guides that identify candidates with top skills, knowledge and abilities that best meet role requirements
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including targeted search strategy
  • Ensure recruitment activity is updated regularly in the applicant tracking system, reporting on hiring metrics, trends, successes and challenges
  • Liaise effectively with HR Business Partners and Generalists to ensure an integrated service to hiring managers and candidates
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment practices and resources by supporting projects and initiatives
  • Identify emerging talent pools and build sourcing practices designed to support Diversity, Inclusion and Equity with the sourcing of BIPOC candidates including, persons with disabilities, Indigenous, Francophone and LGBTQIA+
  • Define and execute innovative search tactics using industry best practices to attract qualified candidates, both internally and externally
  • Independently source and gather insights to attract the potential candidate’s interest while simultaneously assessing the potential candidate’s fit within the organization
  • Develop strong partnerships and relationships with hiring managers across the organization
  • Establish overall credibility for the Talent Acquisition function, and ensure ongoing satisfaction with the services provided to the business during each recruitment and selection process

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or recognized equivalent
  • 5+ years of high volume IT recruitment preferably in corporate and/or search firms
  • Experience in Workday (recruitment module) will be a major advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in current recruitment and selection principles, standards, methodologies and employment trends
  • Ability to work within an ambiguous environment with little direction
  • Ability to be resourceful and leverage team members to be effective and efficient
  • Proven track record of successfully placing high performing talent
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time

Employment Location: Ontario (currently virtual; subject to change)
