The Senior Financial Analyst, Investment Properties (SFA)will partner with clients including developers and asset managers in budgeting, forecasting, KPI monitoring, and support financial reporting with accounting services team. The SFA will be involved in preparing operating budgets for a wide variety of future residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.

The SFA will be detail and results oriented, along with having excellent time management and organizational skills, and possess a solid understanding of the real estate, construction, or development industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare presentations on investment property performance for clients.
  • Support leadership, property managers and property accountants with financial communication for properties.
  • Support the transition and set up of new properties to ensure all financial requirements are addressed and properly reporting.
  • Review development plans and information to create accurate future operating budgets.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for the Operations teams to measure performance on various projects.
  • Partner with operations to deliver timely and effective improvement initiatives and projects through data discovery, data entry, analysis, and reporting, using tools such as Power BI.

Experience:

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, or a combination of relatable education, and a minimum of 4 years’ related experience. Development community, real estate, construction, or property management industry experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional grasp of financial budgets with advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and programs. They will be comfortable reading and interpret leasing agreements. They will be notably skilled in excel for data modelling, analysis and reporting and have advanced knowledge and experience with other internet applications, web browsers and software, including mobile devices and apps.

Strong interpersonal skills are key to success in deliver of the role, including solid verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a combination of excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and efficiency in completing time-sensitive tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Power BI or other visualization applications required.
