Reporting to the Digital Solutions Manager of Trouw Nutrition Canada, the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible to design the content strategy, execute and manage our multi-channel marketing communication initiatives including website, social media, email marketing and e-commerce. The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for adhering to brand standards and will play an integral role in implementing the Digital Marketing Excellence Roadmap in Canada and lead generations efforts to support sales and advancing brand equity across all digital touch points.

As a member of the Marketing Communications Committee of Trouw Nutrition Canada the incumbent will work closely with Portfolio Managers, regional Marketing & Communications Coordinators, Marketing Council and Innovation Teams. This position will be based out of the Guelph office and due to the current COVID-19 environment the ability to have a flexible work from home option. The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist is expected to conduct all matters in a manner consistent with Nutreco’s Corporate Values of Innovation, Caring, Capable, and Collaboration.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate and lead the implementation of the Digital Marketing Excellence Roadmap, including website strategy, design, content layout, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) tactics and marketing automation;
  • Represent Canada in the Global Digital Marketing Excellence Group and collaborate with global initiatives prioritized for Trouw Nutrition Canada;
  • Effectively collaborate with the Marketing Committee to plan, design, execute and maintain all external online communications, such as e-newsletters, email and advertising campaigns, website strategy, social media and e-commerce;
  • Measure and report performance of all digital campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPI’s);
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights;
  • Plan, execute and measure campaigns and conversion rates (MQL’s);
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end online customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points. Identify and fix drop-off points to optimize lead generation funnels;
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate;
  • Collaborate with regional Marketing Communication Coordinators on specific regional campaigns and provide training sessions and updates on digital tools where appropriate, including but not limited to content management systems and social media management tools;
  • Assist in maintaining our digital marketing assets;
  • Contribute and provide thought digital marketing leadership in the development of the annual marketing plan for Trouw Nutrition Canada.
Preferred Hiring Criteria
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working as a Digital Marketing Specialist or related field;
  • BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related experience;
  • Experience with EpiServer (CMS), DAM software, social media management and analytics tools, including web-based applications, MS Dynamics 365 (CRM), and Google web apps (Analytics, My Business, Search Console);
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English, knowledge of French language considered an asset;
  • Fluency with graphic editing tools, including Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign);
  • Superior project management, analytical and execution skills;
  • Ability to implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance
  • Ability to work as a team player in a cross-functional management structure;
  • Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills;
  • Strong Marketing experience in agriculture, animal nutrition or food industry considered an asset,
  • Ability to work within a diverse global team environment with members in multiple time zones
