Job description

We are currently seeking to Tactical Security Officers to work in various Retail locations throughout British Columbia. The ideal candidate will deal with all situations as they arise in a professional and courteous manner as well as provide a highly visible presence on-site.

Due to the high level of professionalism expected for this position, a minimum experience of 12 months is required (exceptions given to those with overall experience), but training will be provided.

Preference: Valid BST Security workers license is a must.

Requirements: Retail/Mobile/LP/Concierge/construction security or higher, considered an asset

• Good command of the English Language (verbally/written) as you will be interacting directly with the client and the public and completing professional reports.
• Problem solving skills, Conflict resolution and ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Proven de-escalation Tactics.
• Duty belt and Tactical vest are requirements for these positions - will provide.
• Valid British Columbia Security License.
• Valid Drivers license with access to a vehicle (is not a requirement but considered an asset)
• This position requires an extremely clean-cut, professional appearance and behavior.
• Must be able to stand and foot patrol for extended lengths of time.
• Must be able to produce Vaccine Passport.

Job Duties:

• Enforcing property regulations, Criminal Code and legislative statutes.
• Obtaining statements and collecting information for Incident Reports.
• Provide both a security presence and a customer service-based demeanor.
• Deterrence of undesired behavior and/or criminal activity.
• Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with local law enforcement.
• Conduct routine patrols of premise for any safety and security issues.
• Report on suspicious activity, nuisance behaviour and criminal activity.

Part-time hours: 8 to 32-hours per week.

Full-time hours: 40-hours per week.

On-call Hours: 8 to 40-hours per week.

Compensation is based on many factors: We review you based years of experience, skills developed, knowledge in the industry, past performance just to name a few.

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

Salary: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
