Who we are

We invite you to join République Provincial Park located on the shores of the Madawaska River. This 108-acre park offers over 150 campsites, rustic shelters and Ch-A-Lets.

The park offers scenic hiking and cycling trails, two volleyball courts, a fully equipped outdoor playground, two tennis courts, horseshoe pits, boat ramp, picnic sites, a picnic shelter, laundry room, a playroom for indoor activities, a heated swimming pool, an amphitheatre and a convenience store.

Savour the sweet perfume of the magnificent New Brunswick Botanical Garden, a truly peaceful oasis located on more than 20 acres of the park’s land.

What you will do

Reporting to the security officer supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling property, buildings and assets, as well as ensuring security when admitting visitors and employees. The duties and responsibilities will include:

• Patrolling grounds to protect against fire, theft and vandalism
• Locking gates, buildings, vehicles, etc.
• Monitoring visitors/clients for adherence to rules/policies
• Granting access to public
• Operating light vehicles
• Performing other tasks as required

Work Environment

• Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions
• Variable hours according to assigned schedule, including days, nights, weekends and additional hours when required.

Who you are

You are someone who possesses knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures. You are an effective interactive communicator and have good teamwork and cooperation skills. You are flexible and client service orientation driven. You maintain self control and stamina.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
• Written and spoken competence in French

Nice to have

• Experience in a customer service environment
• A valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training

Wage

$21.87 per hour
