Duties

This position reports to the Associate Dean, School of Business with direction from Faculty in all School of Business programs. Duties include but are not limited to working with Faculty to articulate program technical needs in upcoming semesters, troubleshooting program specific software challenges, cataloging equipment, flag equipment for repair, and performing minor repairs of equipment. The incumbent assists students/faculty during labs (for School of Business programs), coordinates equipment repair, maintains/monitors video gear inventory levels, helps students install program specific software on their laptops and support faculty with curriculum administrative tasks. The incumbent is required to ensure proper setup and operation of Business Intelligence Applications for students in the School of Business.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A minimum of post-secondary training in television production and working knowledge of Video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro required.

A minimum of two years of practical work experience in television or video production. Experience in writing scripts and story boards for video production. Experience in providing technical support to students. Knowledge of analytics tools and programming languages is considered an asset. Experience with web page authoring and site management would be an asset.

Other Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite with a focus on Premiere Pro
  • Understanding of sound and lighting techniques
  • Ability to shoot and edit videos.
  • Good understanding of MAC operating system and Apple products
  • Knowledge of file management for multiple video products
  • Ability to integrate other Adobe products with video editing software.
  • Knowledge of Analytics and Business intelligence application is an asset.
  • Comfortable with learning new skills and program specific technical programming languages and software.
  • Great communication and presentation skills

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:

The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location or work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy.
