The Sanitation Team Leader is responsible for performing and completing the following tasks including, but not limited: ensure plant and equipment is clean and sanitized; direct the sanitation crew to adhere to Work Safe rules and regulations, GMP, Food Safety and Quality Assurance guidelines, monitor and ensure completion of daily, weekly, monthly and annual master sanitation schedules. Develop work processes in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices, supporting the objectives and goals of the department and the company and performs other duties as assigned.

• Assist in the training and supervision of all sanitation employees working within the sanitation department
• Understand and follow safety procedures
• Ensure after cleaning and sanitation machine and equipment are operating properly
• Be familiar and able to read and understand SDS and product labels
• Be familiar with the proper use of cleaning chemicals and utensils prior to use
• Develop work habits in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and GFSI (BRC) principles
• Cooperate with other departments in partnership
• Must be able to understand sanitation scheduling
• Develop and practice “open mind” attitude to sudden changes and challenges
• Report equipment malfunction or breakdown to maintenance department
• Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for tasks to be performed
• Clean sanitation utensils, equipment and work area at the end of shift
• Perform Pest Control Activities
• Perform other duties and/or tasks as instructed by your Supervisor
