Gateway Mechanical currently has an exciting opportunity for a Service Foreman to join the Service Team!

The Refrigeration Service Foreman will lead a team of service technicians in providing excellent customer service through the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical equipment. This position reports into the regional Service Manager and is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service through repair and maintenance of a variety of mechanical equipment
• Provide technical support for mechanics, dispatchers, and sales
• Support dispatch to ensure adequate resources are available
• Ensures that work is completed correctly, safely and on time
• Promote a safe work environment by ensuring that all employees follow Gateway safety policy and procedures
• Visit new client sites and attend first site visits for new preventative maintenance contracts
• Audit performance and safety of service technicians
• Respond to call backs and assist technicians with difficult service calls
• First point of contact for after-hours support
• Mentor and train service technicians
• Provide orientation for all new hires
• Attend and endorse education courses for technicians

Experience & Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience
• Grocery store rack expertise
• Valid Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Computer and software skills an asset
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Advanced technical expertise in grocery refrigeration service preferred
