RECREATION INSTRUCTORS – Advanced Aquatics

Casual (On-Call)

The City of Coquitlam is seeking enthusiastic, personable, energetic and outgoing aquatics focused professionals to complement our aquatic team. These casual positions are responsible for the planning and instructing of advanced aquatic programs such as National Lifeguard Pool and Water Park options, Water Safety Instructor and Life Saving Instructor at any one of our aquatic facilities. We are looking to bring on a wide range of leaders to join our team of aquatic professionals.


Requirements:


Must hold one of the following awards:

  • Water Safety Instructor Trainer
  • National Lifeguard Instructor
  • Lifesaving Instructor Trainer
  • Able to work all days and evenings

Recommended:

  • National Lifeguard Pool option
  • National Lifeguard Water Park option
  • Water Safety instructor

The rate of pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.

Applicants under consideration will be required to undergo a police security clearance evaluation (with no adverse reports). Employment packages should include a resume, any required/relevant fitness certifications, and a photo copy of a current CPR-C certification (or equivalent). The City has a vaccination policy in effect with requirements for all current and future employees.
