About the Role:
Corus Radio Edmonton is looking for a part time Receptionist, aka our “VP of First Impressions”, to join our administration team!
Reporting to the Office Manager, and working with our Senior Receptionist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day reception duties at our challenging, but rewarding, front desk. This is a part-time reception position, 20 hours per week, where you will cover the Wednesday afternoon (12pm-4pm), Thursday and Friday (9am – 4pm) shifts, and any holidays, as required. For the moment, our office is closed due our Covid 19 protocols and are handling guests mainly via email and phone, however, we do anticipate a slow return to regular business in the near future.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate the main switchboard for 50+ employees and four popular radio stations!
  • Meet and greet guests, visitors, and callers in a friendly, professional, outgoing manner, both arriving at the station and calling in.
  • Adhere and champion our security protocol at our busy front desk, managing multiple appointments and visitors
  • Distribute prizes to confirmed winners - this is the most fun!
  • Send, receive, sort, and distribute couriers, mail, and faxes.
  • Ensure that the reception and office storage room area is tidy and free of clutter.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
About You

What We Need From You:
  • Attention to detail is paramount, as well as, above average time management skills.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, as this is a shared desk position with our senior receptionist.
  • Basic computer knowledge is a must.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel experience is an asset
  • A valid driver’s license.
