Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, IFTS Freight, the incumbent will be responsible for providing pricing and quotes on all client and agent requests. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing top notch customer service and collaborating with the Sales and Operations teams, other Livingston business partners, and agents.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide quotes to clients, agents, and sales representatives within standardized time frames.
  • Assist freight operations and sales in handling rate requests.
  • Update and maintain quote logs and reports.
  • Maintain and update air and ocean freight carrier rates for the branch.
  • Analyse carrier net rates to ensure that the company is getting the best rates.
  • Keep client quotation updated and current as necessary in conjunction with Sales and Operations.
  • Network with and develop relationships with carriers, agents, and Livingston business partners.
  • Keep customers informed of industry changes, news, and regulatory changes by telephone and/or email.
  • Assist Sales department with quote follow up as required.
  • Assist and communicate with IFTS Manager Freight as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong operational knowledge of international Air and Ocean transportation requirements, including dangerous goods regulations, carriers, agent network, etc.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to develop relationships with people at all levels in and outside of the Company.
  • Team player and collaborator – ability to work effectively with Operations, agents and our business partners in Canada and the US.
  • Customer focused problem-solving ability – ability resolve issues effectively.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, handle a large volume of work and meet time deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel).
Work Experience – Minimum Required

3 years of related experience

EDUCATION

Required: Associates Degree or post-secondary education
