Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

We are looking for a QC person to join our APS Precast team in Langley, BC. This is a full-time, regular position.

• Develop a thorough knowledge of the project scope, schedule, inspection, testing, and quality documentation, organize and maintain inspection and testing documentation
• Provide guidance to construction supervision and crafts regarding project specific quality process and to ensure the requirements are met
• Report and document Non-Conformances when they occur and assist in tracking rework
• Have a thorough knowledge of the Projects Quality Management System and Work Instructions
• Be involved in and provide inspection and testing input to with project team
• Research and answer questions of a technical nature in the interpretation of construction codes and standards
• Physically strenuous tasks including climbing ladders, moving through production areas, and walking on uneven surfaces
• Assist with clients during visits, answer questions on products
• Other job-related duties as required
  

Skills And Requirements

• CWB level 2 Visual Weld Inspection and CSA concrete tester
• Knowledge of Materials of Construction
• Inspection and Test Plan writing experience
• Weld and NDE tracking experience
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel (data entry, applying filters, basic formulas, pivot tables etc.)
• Team leadership with the understanding of construction flow and scheduling
• 10 years’ experience in the construction field with at least five years in a Quality role
• Quality system development experience
