Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking dynamic individuals that can work with the Quality Assurance department, ensuring that the facility is in compliance with regulatory and food safety standards.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

Description Of Duties

• Responsible for product label match, form and tag preparation
• Conduct equipment visual inspection and corrective action request
• Perform Environmental & Product sampling and simple chemical testing as per schedule
• Responsible for Monitoring activities of SQF policies, HACCP and prerequisite programs. Report any non-compliance practices or products to QA Manager and take appropriate corrective actions
• Communicate with other departmental supervisors in a cooperative manner
• Conduct employee training on GMP, HACCP or as required
• Assist and participate in food safety documentation, internal auditing and investigation process for corrective and preventative actions
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Must be detail oriented, good visual inspection ability and reliable
• Experience in Quality Control activities in a processing environment is preferred not a must
• Knowledge of food safety and/or quality assurance program and/or life science, previous experience in meat facility or Ready to Eat Foods is an asset
• Fluent in written and oral English. Knowledge of other languages such as Mandarin Chinese, would be an asset
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with all employees and contractors and to provide technical help when needed
• Work availability to both morning shift starting at 6am and afternoon shift starting at 1pm
