ACCEO Retail Solutions division is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to complete our team. A successful candidate will be able to work in all facets of testing estimation, planning, and coordination activities. Critical skills include the ability to develop and execute test plans and test scripts, while contributing to the integrity of the QA environment, building the QA repository, and delivering superior code to our customers.

• Performs functional, application, regression and performance tests according to company’s QA process.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met. Identifies and implements process improvements.
• Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team
• Identifies testing environment needs for projects and coordinates the establishment of the environments.
• Works collaboratively within the business units to ensure that the final product satisfies the specified requirements and meet end-user expectations
• Creates deployment and user instructions for software/custom development to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Meets the scheduled completion dates for software/custom development.
• Proactively address issues and potential bugs within an application during the development cycles.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities with product owner
• Participates in metrics collection and reporting.
• Provides guidance and support for other QA Analysts.
• Deliver high quality product that has been thoroughly tested
• Responsible for writing the system and solution test plan
• Other duties as assigned
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Diploma degree in computer science or related experience
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance in Waterfall/Agile/Scrum based product development
• Able to accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules under changing conditions.
• Understands entire development process, including design, programming, and documentation.
• Familiar with relevant business issues as they impact overall project plans.
• Ability to mentor more junior associates.
• Strong technical skills to include thorough knowledge of how PC Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems, Hardware platforms and browsers are relevant to QA activities and testing requirements for these environments.
• Experience and/or knowledge of configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, test case management software and automated testing tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office Applications
• Experience in SQL or similar DB manipulation
• Knowledge of .NET is an asset
• Experience in the retail industry and/or POS/ERP tools is a strong asset
