Your New Role

Are you an experienced administrator who has a keen interest in Health, Safety and Environment? Are you proactive, independent and results driven? Great news! Survitec has the perfect role for you as our new QHSE Administrator at our Mount Pearl, New Foundland site!

Reporting into the Operations Manager in our Marine Division. You will implement a Health, Safety and Wellbeing framework, taking responsibility for the deployment, implementation, and maturity of the environmental, health, safety and wellbeing policies, processes and procedures considering best practice and the operational needs of the business.

You will seek to understand barriers employees raise, engage stakeholders and functional leaders and drive the implementation of improvements to achieve required working conditions and methods to avoid injury within the workplace.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Implementing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
  • You will conduct investigations of standard incidents following current processes, systems, and procedures
  • Conduct a range of quality management activities to contribute to the identification and evaluation of current policies that are in scope of the Quality Management Systems
  • You will work as part of a wider QHSE team to design, develop and document new policies, procedures, and business processes
  • Resolve external customer or suppliers’ queries
  • Organise and prepare complex documents to gather and summarize key data for special report
  • Responsible for creating own monthly schedule to complete outstanding actions

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

  • You will have up to 3 years administration or co-ordination experience
  • Educated to Diploma level
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own as well as part of wider team
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
