Our leading Pharmaceutical Client is hiring a QC Chemist. This individual will be working to test the formula/drug through multiple analytical techniques and documenting them per regulations. They will be responsible in solutioning the tests and providing the final report that will be used across the other functions such as method transfer and technology transfer.Job Duties

• Perform accurate analyses on incoming materials (chemical/component), finished products and stability of different dose forms (solid dose, liquids, topicals) in accordance within schedule.
• Perform analyses using HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, wet chemistry and numerous other analytical methodologies and techniques.
• Document all laboratory testing maintaining accurate records through an electronic system (LIMs) or traditional laboratory notebooks.
• Process and integrate chromatographic data using Chromatographic Data System (i.e.Empower).
• Perform all work according to cGMP following regulatory and company standards.
• Assist the Supervisor, Scientists and in determining the root cause of laboratory deviations providing clear and concise documentation of the event.
• Maintain the highest data integrity following the practices of ALCOA.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly 5S work area.
• Maintain laboratory systems and participate in projects as required.
• Working closely with others in the group to achieve business objectives.
• May be required to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Quality Control experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
• Strong Chromatographic (Empower) and LIMs (LabWare an asset) knowledge.
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of instrumental techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV-VIS, FTIR, KF
• University Degree or College Diploma in Chemistry or a related science
• Experience with Chromatography Data Acquisition and Laboratory Information Systems.
• Good knowledge of laboratory GMP and demonstrated proficiency in analytical techniques.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and effectively
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency (Excel and Word)
