Job Description

Our client, a Canadian leader in the construction of renewable energy projects, is looking for a Project Engineer for its Alberta sites. This person will be responsible for the technical progress of the work on the site. He/she ensures communication between the different work teams, manages the technical information related to the project and ensures compliance.

Main responsibilities

• Management of the site and its team
• Documentation; prepare, update and verify
• Health and safety; apply, develop and provide the necessary measures
• Quality control; supporting and approving the preparation of execution procedures
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil / mechanical / electrical / construction engineering
• Member of a Canadian professional engineering association (depending on the province)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar functions
• Good ability in the Microsoft Office suite
• Good communication skills in English and French, both oral and written
• Great geographical mobility; 21/7 schedule
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent management, negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to show initiative, autonomy and leadership
• Great administrative rigor
• Ability to adapt to a high-stress environment and to weather fluctuations (construction site)
