Job description

6ixdesign Inc is a multi disciplinary architecture and engineering studio. Our focus is on providing all required design services for construction projects under one umbrella. Our team is a young team with lots of energy and enthusiasm to spare on challenging projects.

Currently we are looking for an intermediate architectural designer who can join our team. Our new member will have the following tasks:

Responsibilities

· Oversee project team, assign tasks, track project performance and assure timely delivery

· Quality control and assisting in detailing for junior staff

· Knowledge of CHOP

· Create plans, elevations, drawings, details and layouts for buildings

· Meeting with clients to discuss project’s requirements and budget, creating layouts that reflect the brief

· Familiarity with zoning bylaw and OBC

· Familiarity with building envelope science and detailing

· Site visit for measurement and assessment

· Research materials and specs

· Assisting office principal with design process

Qualifications

· Min 4 years of experience in residential and commercial architecture field

· Knowledge of REVIT, Rhinoceros, AutoCAD and BIM 360

· Bachelor/Masters of Architecture degree from a recognized university

· knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Revit, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite

· Strong all-around academic/technical knowledge of architectural detailing of wood, steel and concrete structures specifically for cold climate

· Proven attention to detail;

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to travel to construction sites.

· Time management

Asset

· Knowledge of 3D Max, Lumion and V-Ray and ability to render is a bonus

· Architect or Technologist License is an asset
